2005 “Sparrow Hawk” Cabernet

Had this wine about a month ago and thought I would share my tasting notes with you.

Wine Details:

Winery: Sparrow Hawk

Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: 2005

Appelation: Oak Knoll (Napa)

Harvested the last week of September at 24.7 Brix. Aged 24 months in French oak barrels.

On the nose, white pepper, cedar, mushroom, vanilla, and dust. On the palate nice cherry, and plum fruit, with green bell pepper, and white pepper. Sharp tannins.

Rating: 88 JH
